Freedom Kayaking Rentals

For the more adventurous paddlers, you can choose the freedom of kayaking at your own pace.

Explore the majestic outer-islands with lagoons, natural rock caves and quiet sandy beaches or just take a few hours to visit the mangrove forest and Haruru Falls.

We can help with planning your overnight camping trip and if required can provide a guide for the first half day to see you on your way.

Moderate fitness is required for outer-island excursions.
Alternatively, paddle the sheltered inner harbour areas and camp on a private beach or island in the Waikare Inlet.

Prices (NZD)

$15 per hour
$40 per half day (max. 4 hours)
$50 per day
$15 per day mask and snorkel

WE PROVIDE:
Kayaks, Life jackets, Flares, Bilge pump, Local maps, Briefing on coastline, Trip planning, Rescue training, Water skills training.

Tents and cookers are available at a minimal charge.

NOTE:
For your safety, we do not rent to solo kayakers.

Coastal Kayakers do not accept responsibility for damage or loss of personal items, injury or accidents. Customers accept total responsibility for themselves and rented equipment.
